I am sure that all of you are familiar with www.google.com and using that site for searching various topics. But google also offers another free service - news alerts. You can define the topics you are interested in and google will automatically send notice of newspaper articles on that topic to your inbox. I have google news alerts set for my main surnames (I wouldn't recommend it for Smith...<g>) and a few other topics of interest including the topic "genealogy". You might like to experiment with setting some google news alerts. You can always cancel them if you decide they aren't of value. Just to give you a couple of examples....
