He married Clara Joha (1859-1913)in Milwaukee in 1885. I am not sure when he immigrated, but he was in Milwaukee before he married. His father's name was Ernest Mundt and his mother's name was Charlotte M. (?) I doubt if he is related closely if at all to the Mundts being discussed in this exchange of information, but if anyone has any information on this family, I would really appreciate hearing from you. Hi there, I don't think there's a connection--I sure wish that there was. I know that Gustav emigrated to the US around 1912. I'm doing this off the top of my head, so don't hold me to the details. I know he did come from Czarist Russia. He served in the czar's army. His father was Gotlieb. I have found some records that connect him with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Russia. So I don't think we have the same Mundts. I don't know about you, but I've been surprised at the amount of Mundts in the US.
