    1. Helpful sites from list admin..... How about sharing your favorites!
    2. Good Afternoon Everyone, I thought I would remind all of you about some of these sites. All are helpful and contain information of all types. First of all..... The USGenWeb Project. I would imagine that most of you are already aware of this project and use it frequently. If you haven't then you are really missing something. Hundreds and Hundreds of volunteers work very hard to provide information by locality - histories, census records, cemetery records, court records, etc. This URL will get you to the main page for the project: http://www.usgenweb.org/ This URL will take you to a graphic which will allow you to click on any state. From there you can access the various county sites. http://www.usgenweb.org/statelinks.html One word of caution. The main page also contains a link to the USGenWeb Archives project. Be aware that when you use the search engine provided for the archives that search engine does NOT also search the main county pages. So make sure you check both the individual county pages and the county archives pages for information. Confusing I know - but that's the way it is...<g>. Then try this one. While USGennet is not a project in the same sense that USGenWeb is, it does serve as a host to various other projects. Here is the URL to their main page. http://www.usgennet.org/ And this URL will take you to the search engine for all sites hosted by USGennet. http://www.usgennet.org/search/ One of the projects hosted by USGennet is the Americal Local History Network. The following URL will take you to their main site. From there you can check the various state and county sites. http://www.alhn.org/ Another project hosted by USGennet is the American History and Genealogy Project. Again, this URL will take you to their main site. From there you can go to the various state and county sites. http://www.ahgp.org/ As with anything else out there on the internet, make sure you read their information - mission, purpose, terms of service, etc. Take care and I hope you enjoy these sites. Emma
