Gustav Muller b. 1866 in Germany, probably in or near Frankfurt, came to America, started an import-export business (during the 30-40s for certain), began a china factory near Chicago, met my grandmother Josephine (maiden name Mueller/Muller from Vienna originally) in Milwaukee's German Social Club. They married, lived in New York, had a son Carl, Carl/Gustav or Carl/Fredrick, my father. We have an old oil painting of his ancestor, a countess from Alsace Lorraine supposedly.
