Hello, I have a dilemma. The following is a descendancy I received from my cousin: Adrai Müller b. abt.1772 in Sögeln, Bramsche, Hannover, Germany (Prussia?) d. unk m. Anna Margarethe Bockstiegel, b. abt. 1776 same location, d. unk. Son - Ernst Heinrich b. May 18, 1798 in Sögeln d. June 4, 1884 m. Marie Adelheid Schwankhaus b. Sept. 12, 1807 in Sögeln, d. July 3, 1878 Son - Hermann Heinrich Müller b. Feb 14, 1834 in Sögeln d. April 16,1899 m. Johanne Marie Henriette Budke b. Oct. 28, 1843 d. May 20, 1919 Sons - Ernst Heinrich, Ernst Georg (My Grandfather), and Ernst Rudolf Now, in trying to go further back, I received the following information from a Bockstiegel descendant: Andreas Müller (prussian soldier) b. unk d. unk had illegitimate son with Anna Margarethe Bockstiegel b. August 31, 1777 in Sögeln d. February 24, 1855 Son - Ernst Heinrich Bockstiegel b. May 18, 1798 d. unk, m. abt. 1833 Marie Adelheit Schwankhaus b. unk, d. unk. The source says Ernst Heinrich Müller's (my gg-grandfather) name was Bockstiegel on the marriage records!!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
