If she did come it was with a married name. I do not remember my grandparents speaking of any of the Muller side of the family other than my grreat-grandfather Friedrich August Muller immigrating. The siblings of Friedrich remained in Speyer- am-Rhein RheinlandPfalz Germany. As stated earlier the family immigrated from Alsace Bas Rhin in the early 1800's. Judy C

I haven't a clue if we are connected in any way. Susanna Muller is a very popular name if you look in the listings at LDS. Muller being German for a miller that milled grain or maybe lived by the mill (von Muller). I rec'd one other reply. No family history ever talked about, but thought the connection to John Jostock would open up something. Mostly I believe they are from Alsace as it was then known. Do you have any family pictures I can download to see a resemblance? Angie

Most of our family is in Iowa now and not many stayed in IL. There is a farmstead in Dubuque, IA that still belongs to a Muller family. My brother in law Galen Muller knows quite a lot about the Muller family tree and if you are interested I could possible get him to come over and we could send you some information. Toni

Susanna is a family name since the late 1700s. My gr-great aunt was Susanna Muller. The other was Maria Susanna Muller b 11/17/1787, I believe in Alsace. This Muller crossed the Rhein River in the early 1800s and settled in Speyer-am-Rhein. I have traced back to Franz Anton Muller about 1733 in Oberoffenback Alsace. He married Barbara Streicher of Reidseltz Alsace in Weissenberg (wissembourg now) Alsace. Susanna siblings were Heinrich, Georg, and Friedrich Her parents were George Valentin Muller and Eva Cornitius. I am Friedrich's gr-granddaughter. Judy C
