Butte, Oct. 29.-----Charles Norbeck, veteran prospector in the mountains near Butte, was found dead in his isolated cabin 17 miles southwest of the city yesterday by his son, Gus Norbeck. The younger Norbeck had gone to visit his father. He found him dead in bed. Death is believed to have resulted from heart failure. Mr. Norbeck had moved out to his cabin near Buxton, where he owned some mining claims, two weeks ago and was preparing to spend the winter there. He was last seen last Sunday when his son visited him and helped him prepare for the winter. Mr. Norbeck was lying in bed and had evidently expired while asleep. He had been dead about 24 hours, said Coroner Pat Holland, who drove to the cabin when news of the prospector's death was brought to Butte. Mr. Norbeck was 67 years old and a native of Finland. He was well known to hundreds of butte people in his 36 years' residence in the mining city.
