GRANEY. Mrs. Catherine F. Graney, 74, pioneer Butte resident and known by scores of persons, died this morning at her home, 915 East Galena street, following a lingering illness. She was the widow of James Graney and had made her home in Butte for more than 58 years. Born in Waterford, Ireland, she came to the United States at an early age. Surviving are one son, Thomas Graney; five daughters, Mrs. Harry Hamilton, Mrs. Dean Phillips, Mrs. George Walker and Mrs. Charles Latch of this city and Mrs. Albert Meredith in British Columbia; five grandchildren, Glen Forbes, Mrs. Mary Pankey, Charles Graney, Lillian Walker and James Latch and three great grandchildren. The body is at the family home pending funeral arrangements which are in charge of the Richards mortuary.
