Surnames: KERN SCHILLINGER Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VNB.2ACE/689 Message Board Post: I am looking for historical information and photographs for: Elmer LaMoyne Kern and his wife Luella Schillinger Kern. They were married in Illinois in 1896 but their newspaper write-up states that he was living in Butte, Montana where the new couple would be making their home. In the years 1904 through 1909, Josephine Schillinger, sister to Luella, is listed as teaching school at the Butte Montana High School. I assume she resided with her sister and brother-in-law. Is it possible that there might be records for the High School that might include information about Josephine or a photograph? And, can anyone point me in the right direction to find out what Elmer Kern did in Butte during those many years or anything about him, and wife Luella. Thanks for a nudge in the right direction!
