Dooleys were also involved in the early freight business in that area and probably involved in early western Montana mining as well. They were somehow connected with Caplis & Smith - early merchants in Butte & other mining areas of W Montana. Other Irish families mentioned with them in some fashion or other were Faheys, Maddens, & Kelleys.
