I was wondering if anyone has information on the Northern Italian mining communities that lived in Butte and Walkerville in the early 1900's? I'm looking for written books or article or websites, and also the general regions or towns in Italy from whence the immigrants came. I would also be interested in contacting anyone else with ancestral ties to Northern Italy via Butte/Walkerville. I have noticed in early census records that there were many Italian families that lived nearby each other.
