I recently found some of my ancestors on the 1900 census as follows: Living in South Butte Twp: Sexton Jno, born Feb 1860, married 7 years, born Minnesota, occ: Grocery Clerk wife, Anne (or Annie), born June 1867, born Wisc., 4 children 3 still living HM, Daughter, born Jan 1895 Minn. Ellen, dau, born June 1896 Minn. John Wm., born May 1898 Montana Living in Silver Bow Twp: Sexton, Dan, born sept. 1866 Minn, married 6 years, Grocery Man wife, Louise born May 1870 Michigan, no children I know Daniel eventually went to Alaska and then ended up in Seattle where he died. I have no idea what happened to John but believe he died before 1912 - but I don't know where. Would the Archdiocese have church records on them? Are there civil records for birth/death information around this time? Does anyone have any books/resources that they should check for these families in?
