Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VNB.2ACE/43.2 Message Board Post: My greatgrandfather, Denis Lowney and his twin brother, John Lowney were born on June 25, 1866 in Derrimihan, Castletownbere, Co. Cork, Ireland. Their parents were Cornelius Lowney and Margaret O'Neil (Neile b. about 1821). I am told that John headed to Butte, Montana to lecture on mining in the 1800's. I believe he married and some say he had three daughters, Rose, Esther and Mary Margaret. If anyone has any info on these Lowney's, I'd greatly appreciate hearing from you. I have alot of info on Denis' family.
