Thus, when someone needed proof of birth, they had to bring substantiating evidence, such as baptism records, school attendance, etc. to the courthouse and a Delayed Birth Certificate would be issued. I suspect that there was no more information contained in the first Delayed Birth Certificate than contained in the second.
