I have searched the 1920 & 1930 U.S. Census Indexes and I am unable to find a Jesse James Fout, Jesse Fout, James Fout, J.J. Fout, or a Valerie/Valarie Fout/Fouts anywhere in the U.S. I also cannot find these names in any death indexes. I also searched the Butte City Directories for 1952 and 1957, and there was no one with the surname of "Fout" listed. Sorry I couldn't have been of more help. You might try the Butte-Silver Bow County Archives as they have an abundance of Butte records available. You can find their e-mail address through this Silver Bow County MTGenWeb Rootsweb site: http://www.mtech.edu/silverbow/ Good luck!

Cork, Ireland. Their parents were Cornelius Lowney and Margaret O'Neil (Neile b. about 1821). I am told that John headed to Butte, Montana to lecture on mining in the 1800's. I believe he married and some say he had three daughters, Rose, Esther and Mary Margaret. If anyone has any info on these Lowney's, I'd greatly appreciate hearing from you. I have alot of info on Denis' family.

I am writing for a friend who does not use the computer. I am hoping that if I find something for her, it will encourage her to learn how to get online. I also see that you have both Harringtons and Sullivans in your family. Her grandmother Hanora (Nora) Sullivan, daughter of Daniel Sullivan and Hanora (Nora) Harrington, was born August 2, 1869, and baptized in the RC church of St. Finbarr in castletownbere by the Rev. Michael Moynihan. Sponsors were Denis Lowney and Mary Kelly. If you have ever found these people in your family "tree," I would be interested in hearing from you. Thank you, Jan

I suppose I should start by asking if SKS would look up my grandfather and his parents in the 1920 census for Butte. My grandfather was John Rex RIEHM (he went by Rex) and would have been 10 or 11 at the time, born May 1909 in Nevada. His parents were probably divorced by then. His mother, Cordelia, born in Massachusetts to Canadian parents, would have been about 48 and may have remarried by then (just to make things complicated, I don't know what her surname would have been -- it's a LONG story); John M. RIEHM, his father, born in Nevada to a father born in Illinois and a mother born in Australia, was about 45. I would certainly appreciate any other information about them that might pop up elsewhere, too.
