I am seeking info on Floyds from Missouri/Kentucky! Ruth Anna Floyd first married a Crabtree fella in Arkansas! He was a fiddler and left for extended periods of time, as far as we know they had no kids! She filed for dissertion after 7 years and left KY or Missouri and came to Montana with one of her brothers to work as cooks in a mining camp or lumber camp! This Crabtree's given name is Job or Joseph! In 1880 Ruth is listed as living in KY in 1880 as Rutha A. Crabtree age 21 and our Ruth A. was b.1860; listed as living with Joseph Crabtree, Farmer b. MO. and she b. KY. I personally know Ruth Anna Floyd as a Louquet. She married Pierre Louquet b. 1861 France and migrated to US about age 18, that makes him getting to US 1878/79 and he remained in NYC working at a hotel for about 1 year and gained enough money to travel by train to Chicago. From there he went somehow to Denver or SLC and to Montana by wagon! Helena area, owned property in Helmsville, Missoula, Avon, and possibly Helena! I have a centennial heritage book on Avon and it has pictures and some info! What I am looking for is others that possible could be her brother to Montana's kin who may have remained in Missoula area or Crabtrees who could have been married first to her! I have checked every other state to no avail! Someone has a connect! Ruth Anna Floyd Louquet died in Missoula in 1919 (same year my Mom was born in NJ) at her daughters home! Her name is spelled incorrectly; but I found a copy of her death in Missoula Co years back! Does anyone have connects via Crabtree, Floyd or Louquet! Those I do not have connect now with!
