He was from Missoula, Montana, Son of Leonerd and Blanche Betts Hage. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in the early 1040's and went to England to become a bomber pilot with the Royal Air Force. He was killed in action on 14 september 1942 while serving with 26 Operational Training Unit. He was probably an rather experienced pilot and was an instructor with this unit. When Bomber Commands need for planes and crew increased, planes from training units were sometimes sent on operational missions. Pilot Officer Hage also flew on the famous 1000 bomber raid against Cologne in 1942. He is buried in my hometown of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Any information about the life of Robert Hage would be more than welcome. Thanks in Advance, Stevin
