I am at wit's end trying to find out what happened to Chester P. Davis or Chester L. Davis who died in Aug 1972 per SSDI. Per State of Montana, no record of his death there so I don't know where he actually died. The reason I am looking for this person is that he was supposedly married to Lillian Apley approx in 1916 or 1917. He is shown as a lodger at a hotel in Missoula, MT in 1920 and 1930, but he said he was married in both instances. Per his World War I Draft Registration Form, he declared he had a wife and child. I am told that he supposedly had a child with Lillian and his name was Chester, Jr. I have no futher information on Chester Davis. It would be great if someone could check the obituaries in the newspaper for deaths in August 1972 or check the courthouse for possibility of divorce or any other information.
