Fred was born in Germany in 1879 and come to Montana via Minnesota and North Dakota. His father was also Fred (Fritz) Juhnke. He had a sister Emma Juhnke Benzel and these half brothers and sisters: Otto, Helen, Herman, Helmut, Max and Paul. We have a picture of Fred with his first wife in Missoula but no other information.
