He was born on Dec. 5, 1942, in Seattle and was the son of Bryant E. and Margaret (Virkelyst) Ridenour. Carl was involved in various careers throughout his lifetime, but mostly in multiple levels of construction. He was very personable and was loved by his family as well as his many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Marguerite A. Ridenour and brother Paul M. Ridenour. Carl is survived by his sisters, Barbara Maher of San Antonio, Texas, Mary Kaye Starkey of Spokane, Sandra M. (Chris) Hartsock of Phoenix, Kelli Ridenour-Brown (John) of Florence, Ruth A. (John) McCallum of Superior, Cathy M. Ridenour of Spokane and Deanna J. Ridenour of Missoula; two brothers, Ed (Connie) Ridenour of Missoula and Robert M. Young of Stevensville; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at "The Office." In lieu of memorials the family would rather have a memorial "smokeout" on Carl's birthday, Dec. 5. Whitesitt Funeral Home of Stevensville was in charge of cremation arrangements.
