Jones Wednesday. His preliminary hearing was set for January 2 at 10 o'clock and in lieu of $5,000 bonds Lynch will be held at the county jail where he has been since December 15, the day of the alleged attach. Tuesday Lynch was brought before the justice of the peace but told the court he wished to take advantage of the 24-hour statutory time before making his plea. Lynce is accused of having inflicted injuries on Threlkeld which brought about the aged man's death. It was stated that the quarrel began between the two men over an alleged $3 rent bill Lynch owed Threlkeld. Witnesses stated, it was understood, that Threlkeld went to the Lynch cabin to evict the relief worker when the quarrel began. It was declared that Lynch and Threlkeld fought with clubs, and that the older man was felled. He was taken to the hospital where he died a day or two following the quarrel. His injuries included fractures, skull injuries and shock. ---------------------------- Transcription of the Census and newspaper article provided as a courtesy only; I am not related to, nor do I have any knowledge of, the Threlkeld family.
