He was born April 12, 1962 in McMinnville to parents Gordon and Phyllis Mitchell of Newport. He graduated from Yaquina Christian School of Newport in 1980. Dustin drove for Mayflower Transit Company for two years before moving to Montana where he drove fuel tankers for City Service Valcon of Kalispel, Mont. the past 17 years. He married Becky Volker in Newport on Aug. 18, 1984. Dustin was a member of South Hills Evangelical Church in Missoula, Mont. He enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities including hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed all motor sports including NASCAR. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandmother Sallie Perry Mitchell Eder of Newport. He is survived by his wife Becky Mitchell and their five children, Jordan, Sallie, Christian, Janae and Rachel, of Lolo; parents Gordon and Phyllis Mitchell of Newport; sister Tammy (and Mark) Sax of Toledo; sister Theresa (and Vernon) Kessi of Newport; brother Shane Mitchell of Florence; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23 at the Church of the Nazarene in Newport. Tax deductible donations may be made in Dustin's name to SHEC Community Center at 1919 North Ave. W. Missoula, Mont. 59801, to help support his children. The News Times, Newport, OR Dec. 6, 2006

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Arthur HANES of Casnovia, Michigan. The photograph was taken at the W. Wykes Studio in Grand Rapids, MI likely sometime in the 1880's with Arthur appearing to be in his teens or 20's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to find record of Arthur H. HAINES b. 15 Apr 1875 in Muskegon County, MI to parents Jacob M. HAINES and Florence HOLMES. Records indicate that Arthur died 3 Dec 1958 in Missoula County, MT. I am hoping to locate someone from his family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of his family. Grandma, Elizabeth Appelhans ( maiden name Enders), passed away in January of 1999 and Grandpa passed away this year. I have never met the children you speak of besides Carol.
