Wilbur worked in Missoula in 1954 as a nurse's aid. She died on October 22, 1954 in Missoula. I know that she did not die of natural causes (she was 37 years old) but wonder if perhaps there might have been a newspaper article regarding her death if there had been, perhaps, an accident. There is one volunteer who does obit look-ups in "The Missoulian." http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~obitl/volmt.html Or, you can try the "Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness" (RAOGK) for Montana. There are three volunteers listed for the Missoula area: http://www.raogk.org/montana.htm I am sure any of these volunteers would be happy to copy and transcribe the obituary and send it to you via email. Author: CVRN2007 Surnames: Naylor, Dunn Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.montana.counties.missoula/1917/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Charles James Naylor, born in Plain Twp., Wood County, Ohio in Oct. 1878 came to Missoula and was a decorator (Painting and wallpapering). On September 21st 1911, he married Josephine Dunn whose address is listed as Chicago, Illinois. Josie had been a waitress in Dixon and Chicago Il and was rumoured to have come to Missoula to be a cook in a mining camp. They were married by the local Missoula justice of the peace, H.M. Small. Charles' brother, W. H. Naylor (William Harvey Naylor) witnessed the wedding along with Mrs. H. M. Small. W.H. Naylor had a homestead outside of town in Granite County, up Rock Creek. In winters, W. H. and his wife, Goldie would move to town with their two girls so the girls could attend school. W.H. ran a hunting camp back at the homestead. I'm trying to find some kind of documentation besides the wedding certificate to show anything about Charles Naylor and Josie Dunn's time in Missoula. They may have stayed as late as 1914. Brother W.H. stayed from about 1907 until after the 1920 census was taken. What kind of records would there be to search in Missoula for 1910-1914? Any city directories? What kind of records would there be for mining camps and hunting camps? I hope to find out where they lived for the time that they were there. Thanks!
