Schumacher, 69, formerly of Depoe Bay, died Aug. 27, 2004, at Village Health Care in Missoula, Mont. He was born Jan. 17, 1935, at Missoula Community Hospital to Eula (Couture) and Tony Schumacher. He was an enrolled member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe. He was raised and attended school in both Polson and Kalispell, Mont., and graduated from Flathead County High School in Kalispell in 1953. He excelled in art and continued his education in Los Angeles at the Art Center School of Design. He served in the U.S. Army in the late 1950s and spent the majority of his military service in the Special Forces based in Fort Ord, Calif. He married Judy Stigers. They had two children together, and later divorced. He created commercial art for advertising agencies and private clients and later became a full-time artist, creating oil and acrylic paintings and pen and ink drawings, among other media. He made many Native American paintings and his works were exhibited in many galleries throughout the Western United States, including President Nixon's "Western White House" in La Jolla, Calif. Are you still working on the family tree? Would love to hear from you, as I have just started.
I am trying to locate death information on Chester Davis who, per SSDI, was born on 18 Dec 1889 and died in Aug 1872. His last residence is listed as 59801 Missoula, Missoula, Montana, USA, and he applied in Montana for Social Security before 1951. When I contacted the State of Montana for a death certificate, they responded that none existed in MT. I surmise that he may have died elsewhere. I sure would appreciate if someone would check to see if an obituary was ever published in August 1973, or it would be helpful if someone could check a City Directory for 1971 or 1972 or even 1973 to see if he is listed. Any help would be deeply appreciated. This person seems to have vanished, but I believe he was a long time resident and worker in Missoula. Thank you very much. Roy Bohlman

She was born in 1896 and died in 1973. Is there a way to get her obituary through the internet? Please let me know. Thanks!!!
I am at wit's end trying to find out what happened to Chester P. Davis or Chester L. Davis who died in Aug 1972 per SSDI. Per State of Montana, no record of his death there so I don't know where he actually died. The reason I am looking for this person is that he was supposedly married to Lillian Apley approx in 1916 or 1917. He is shown as a lodger at a hotel in Missoula, MT in 1920 and 1930, but he said he was married in both instances. Per his World War I Draft Registration Form, he declared he had a wife and child. I am told that he supposedly had a child with Lillian and his name was Chester, Jr. I have no futher information on Chester Davis. It would be great if someone could check the obituaries in the newspaper for deaths in August 1972 or check the courthouse for possibility of divorce or any other information. Thank you for any help you can give me! Roy Bohlman Gulfport, MS

They were brothers to my grandfather, Charles Barron, and they were raised in Washington County, MO and moved to Montana sometime in their early 20's, I suspect. John was born around 1874 or 1875 and Dennis in 1879 or 1880 (this was from a 1880 Census record). I doubt that this Cornelius is relation to our family, since my great grandfather Peter immigrated from Ireland to the US likely in the 1870s. The weird part is my dad's name is Cornelius and we named one of our sons Neil, know this was a form of Cornelius. Thanks for any information Gary Barron
