COTTER, OLDTIME MINER, DIED LAST NIGHT R.D. Cotter, an old-time miner here, died at a local hospital last night. He was born 85 years ago in Ireland, and has a brother, John Cotter, of Bowling Green, Mo. Arrangements for the funeral await instructions from him. Mr. Cotter's body is at Herrmann and company's mortuary. ------------------ From same newspaper, Tuesday, March 15, 1927 COTTER'S FUNERAL WILL BE HELD TODAY The funeral of R.D. Cotter, who died last Saturday night in his 85th year, will be held this afternoon at 2:30 in Herrmann and company's chapel, the Rev. James Elvin, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in Forestvale. The bearers will be Thomas Spratt, Ronald Eames, Thomas J. Cooney, George Hart, Frank Hart and Sidney Miller. Mr. Cotter was a federal surveyor in the early days of Alaska. He leaves one brother, John Cotter of Bowling Green, Mo., who was unable to make the trip to Helena for the funeral. ------------------ I am glad I was able to find these for you in Ancestry.com's Old Newspaper Archives.
