    3. I am completely overwhelmed. I was contacted by the Great great niece of a couple who died in the 40s, the wife in Pondera and the husband in Cascade Counties. They had no children so this niece was mailed tons of photos. She sent me a box that weighs at least 10 pounds. Some photos have clues and many are blank on the back side. This is going to be an ongoing likely lifetime project. I will be scanning photos and putting them online. The ones I can place in Montana I will give to the respective counties but I am hoping there will be people out there that can identify and claim these photos over time. They range from the 40s to the current day. If anyone has dealt with such a project, I would love to hear from you. Suggestions are very welcome. This illustrates, in my opinion, what we become when we volunteer to be county coordinators. If I hadn't agreed to take the photos, this gal would have dumped them as she had no use. One of the brothers of Aunt Margaret was the Sheriff of Pondera in the 1940s. Another in the Navy and deputy sheriff in LA. Aunt Margaret was a Welker who married a Wixon in Great Falls in 1936, she died in Lewis and Clark County in 1979. Her parents were Edward Welker and Elizabeth Jane Anderson, the previously mentioned husband and wife. I am not sure where I will be putting these online but I want to make sure I get them to family that would want them. Thanks for letting me share and have a great day everyone!
