    3. Personally I feel that the reason many states in the USGenWeb have gone stagnant is because the project does not require periodic updating to county sites within the project. Some counties in the project, (not here), list a last update of 2008, which in my opinion is shameful. I don't think it is asking too much of a county coordinator to provide a minimum of two additional sources of genealogical information a year to our counties. I don't think an update date within 3 months is necessary but I do agree that there needs to be something added once every six months at minimum. In another project we are required to have a What's New page on which we list our additions. Not only does this make it easy for researchers to check new additions and promote people's return but it makes it easy for project members to see that the CC is active. Perhaps we could vote in some bare minimum requirements for our state project? I feel that this could only be a positive move for us! 3. Karen, I totally agree. If a CC can't or won't update within 6 months, then why are they even involved with the project. I belong to 2 other states and 1 is great and the other is not. Like you said shameful on such OLD updates. Why bother putting it there? The SC should be doing more or getting more help to oversee sites. Personally when I'm researching and find an old date, that tells me site is not worth visiting or wasting my time. I say 6 months mandate.
