    3. Re: ACCs The way the policy page reads is that the ACC can be chosen by the CC ie: selected is chosen. It does not say that the ACC has to conform to all the rules and approval procedure that the CC does so you would want some wording after, "may select" that would implement this policy. In another state project we call these full status ACCs Co-CCs as they have the same rights and responsibilities as the CC. In this same project, ACCs are merely county assistants and have not filled out forms nor have they been approved so cannot vote. Personally I feel ACCs with approval to be the easier way. 3. I agree with the additions of #3 for grounds to remove a CC. However, a CC who is a genealogist for hire is allowed to have his/her information on an inside page along with other paid genealogists. The conclusion hadn't been discussed before and this is a good time to do it. I agree that the sentence: "This is a volunteer position and as such mandates as written above are only relevant if the membership agrees to abide by them." should be removed ACC's must be approved by SC's and give home address and a phone number (per USGenWeb rules) and are members of the project with full voting rights. I know that previous ACC's were allowed to be added by CC's as they wished but I have required MTGenWeb ACC's to agree to follow the rules of the project and provide contact information before adding them to the membership list. 3. I would like to add two more to the grounds for firing a CC. 3. any CC unwilling to correct flagrant copyright violation within a period of 30 days notification of said violation 4. any CC profiting from advertisements placed on the county site. This includes all pages, not just the index page. I do not like how the conclusion reads to me. The part about "This is a volunteer position and as such mandates as written above are only relevant if the membership agrees to abide by them." is wishy washy, as if you have a choice to uphold the rules. I would suggest removing the entire sentence. We all know and it is stated more than once in this document that we are a volunteer organization and these are our rules, we shall abide by them. Also as a point of inquiry, how do we handle ACCs and the right to vote? I would assume because they are appointed by the county CC they don't vote on the state level as well as the fact they do not have a responsibility to the project, only the person who is appointing them? Otherwise, very nice document. Plainly written so there are no questions. Happy Independence Day everyone! 3. I don't like may either because it means might or means having permission. 'Will" turn it over would be my preference. However all sites on RW are the property of the person who is CC. The SC cannot take over a RW county site (source of numerous problems in the national project) so perhaps some wording should be added to make it read, "in the event a CC chooses to leave, they will agree to give the website back to the project for future reassignment. All contributed material will remain the copyright of the contributor." Then when a CC joins the project they can agree to this if they leave. This still allows them to take down stuff they put up personally although only the most vindictive sorts would do that. I would be happy to agree to such a statement at any time for any county.
