2. In checking my web pages and others, I discovered that the link to "Montana Vigilantes" <http://montana-vigilantes.org/ > is no longer working. Does anyone know if that link has been changed or what has happened to that website? If you have linked to that website from your county site, you might want to delete the link. 3. Nancy, The 48 hour was a rule from another state. I was giving an example on how it works elsewhere without roll call. Shirley has done roll call before. I like surprise roll calls because if they are at certain times a year then the CC can only tend business at those times and is awol the rest of the time. Not cool. 3. Hi Karen, etal. Sorry, but the "48-hour" rule doesn't appear on the new policy page. It states in one place that there is a two week grace period to correct problems, and in another that 30 days is granted to get in touch before the powers that be fall on the CC..... That's why roll call should be discussed further. I didn't check yet what USGenWeb says. Nancy Teton County MTGenWeb

3. Thanks for pointing out the typo and I will correct that immediately. And you are correct about the roll-call issue. Since we are in the midst of voting on the proposed new policies, it would be improper to add a statement about roll-calls now but we can add it later, with approval from the membership. 1. Re: [MTGEN] New Policy Voting
2. Karen De Groote
3. I believe that there is no predefined roll call system because it is up to the SC to determine when it is needed. For example all the people that vote are obviously present and if there are missing people then a roll call can be called for. However if everyone is already talking on the list, a roll call is unnecessary. We do not have roll call in another project because we have twice yearly reviews. Aside from the reviews if there is a noted absence, the quiet CC gets an email and they have 48 hours to respond lest we go into missing CC mode. Making a roll call part of the policy should be made as the SC's discretion with ideally once a quarter. That way they can call roll when it is needed.
