I am looking for information on my gr. gr. grandparents Thomas Jefferson Hughes and wife Mary Ann Gage daughter of John "Old John" Gage (1762-1840) and wife Martha (Patsy) Johnson (1791-1851) . I have been told that Thomas Jefferson Hughes was a member of the State Senate from Louisville area. Can anyone help me with that information? Also he was called Col. Hughes also I have him the son of Capt. Richard Hughes from Union Co.,S. C..TJH & Mary Ann had seven children one being my gr. grandmother Nannie Gage Hughes who married Benjamin Franklin Giles in Louisville, Mississippi on 15 Nov.1860.
