Mary K. - I had a relative in the Little Rock State Hospital who died in 1928 there. When I inquired about his records last Fall, I was told that the "Privacy Act" lately passed prevented them from giving out any information about any of their patients whether they had died seventy something years ago or not!! They would not even confirm for me that they had any records. I left Little Rock empty handed. I don't think all States are this strict, but I felt that this Act is an injustice to all genealogists, if it is, in fact, interpreted this strongly. We ought to form a protest group and bombard our Congressmen. If anyone has had other experiences, I would be happy to hear. Helen
