Sorry, I thought the subject heading would convey the information. Here it is in detail. Samuel Murff his wife Sarah Frasier family were in Fairfield County, S. C. prior to 1800 because Mary, their oldest daughter was born in 1799. She married Samuel Kennedy and they then moved to Tallapoosa County, AL where he died. She finally ended up in the Peters Colony, Dallas, TX and died in there 1860. Samuel Murff and the rest of the family moved from S.C. to Georgia and lived there for several years, then on to Green County, AL for a while and ended up in Winston County, Mississippi. Samuel's land patents were dated 1848 and 1856. Samuel died in 1860... The land description from the BLM site is NWSW 17/ 14-N 14-E No Choctaw MS Winston. I'm trying to find probate records for Samuel Murff in Winston County, Mississippi.
