Louis, I've written to you several times over the years regarding my family (John McElroy, b 1807 Ga; d MS 1876). I will for the 1st time be able to do some research in both Henry Country Georgia and I will be arriving in Louisville on the evening of October 3rd (Monday night) and would like to get into the records for Winston County on Tuesday, October 4th for the basic period of 1840-1890-ish. I would like to find birth, marriage, wills and death records along with land records, deeds, etc... If I have enough time. If not, I might be able to come back later on in October. Where do I go and where are the records kept? Name & Address of the person & building I need to contact. Just in case I am a day late Can I get a phone number to make an appointment for that Tuesday? We have been living and working in Saudi Arabia since 1977 and will be on vacation during October, so I need to make good use of my time while I'm able to do so.
