Unfortunately, there are not any newspapers that we have copies of for this time frame; earliest newspapers - one copy of The Winston Index dated 1870; The Winston Signal starting in the 1880s through 1894 when Mr. Newsom, the editor, sold his paper to Mr. Will Hight, who started The Winston County Journal that is still being printed today.
