    1. [MSWINSTON] Re: Turner (Larkin Tarrant, Sr.) (b. 1805)
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GMB.2ACI/731.1.1 Message Board Post: Dana: My ancestor's name is Gideon T. Turner (b. 1824 in S.C). His father was William Turner (b. 1800 in S.C.). They were also in Jefferson Co., Ala. before coming to Winston Co., MS. Whereever I find them, I've also found Larkin Tarrant Turner (Sr.) and Jr. ---- so, I assume they must be related. I have tried to discover what the "T" in Gideon's name stands for, but have had no luck finding out. I believe Larkin Tarrant Turner Sr. was his uncle and that William Sr. and Larkin Tarrant Sr. were brothers. I realize that this sheds no light on your McClanahans, except that they all keep appearing in the same places at the same time. Also, Gideon's youngest brother (James Thomas Turner (b. 1830) had a son named Larkin Thomas Turner (b. 1860) and the name, Larkin, keeps occurring throughout the family. I can only think that the orginal Larkin Tarrant Turner (Sr.) (born 1805) must have been related to MY Turners. What is the name of the cemetary in Choctaw County where Mary Ann and Larkin are buried? Thanks for your help. Shelby
