    3. I have the name of Golden in my family line in Winston Co., MS - James A. Golden (no dates), b. in AL (Father was Thomas W. Golden, mother was Martha R. (UNK) and James' wife was Mary A. Cutts, b. Feb. 3, 1825 in AL, d. April 1891 in Winston Co., MS, buried in the Golden Family Cemetery, Winston Co., MS. Their children were: Mary A. Golden, b. 1846, AL; Roxanna J. V. Golden, b. July 27, 1848, AL; d. Jan. 8, 1925, Winston Co., buried in the Fulton Cemetery, p. 129, Winston Co., MS Cemeteries, married to James Eugene Fulton, Oct. 10, 1865; Cornelia Golden b. 1850, AL; Martha Golden, b. 1852 AL. James Eugene Fulton was the son of Samuel Dillard Fulton of Kemper co., MS and a nephew of my great grandfather George Washington Fulton. My maternal grandfather was Richard J. Hendrix (some of the family used the Hendricks spelling), whose family came to MS from South Carolina. There are also Avery family members connected to my family who are buried in the Golden Family Cemetery, Winston Co., MS. I hope this may be of some help to you. 3. Carolyn Thanks for your response. Based on locations and the two names I would say there is a good probability our two lines were known to each other if not actually related. My mother always said that her father was very proud of the name Golden. Are you aware of any other information regarding Hendricks and SC? By the way one brother to my line used the Hendrix spelling. He ended up in TX as did the rest of the known members of the family. Do you have any info I might talk you out of concerning your maternal grandfather? James Hendricks married an Elizabeth Garner in Winston, MS about 1848. (I have the marriage document) They lived in the neighboring county of Attitilia or whatever the spelling is. He had a son named James Golden Hendricks. James Golden Hendricks married a Sina Davidson. Their son, my grandfather, was named Golden Glenn Hendricks. We have always suspected James father was a Henry Hendricks of SC but never able to prove it.
