I noticed on the Winston Co. Site under the "Towns and Communities" a town named Cagle, established 1835 and named for the family of Pink Cagle. My Winston Co. Cagle ancestor is Charles H. who moved to Winston Co. MS from NC in 1850. He had a son named James Pinckney aka "Pink" but since they arrived much later than 1835, this town was named for a different Pink Cagle. Does anyone have information on the family that the town was named for? Dana

Does any one have accress to the 1900 census? If so would you kindly send me the Hudsons that is listed. I have the ones listed for 1880 in Lousiville. Looking for William B. Hudson b. 1811 and William H. Hudson born about 1841. In 1880 he is listed as a book keeper and his wife name was C. E. (Eunice) Hudson 31 years old.. Margaret
Something came to my attention this week about this family. There is a problem with some dates not fitting. I descend from Thomas and Martha. A friend/cousin descends from Thomas and Sary/Sally. Sary/Sally was Thomas' first wife, Martha was his second. My friend thinks that Sary died about 1852..... I have Thomas and Martha married 12 Aug 1847 (from book Marriage Records of Winston Co. Ms Volume 1 1834-1880. I believe that Sary was still alive in 1842. Thomas and Sary gave permission for their daughter Violet/Vilet to marry Richard Jackson on 19 Dec 1842. Richard and Violet/Vilet married on 20 Dec 1842(Marriage Records of Winston Co. Ms. Volume 1 1834-1880). So Sary must have been alive in 1842. If she died in 1855 as my friend believes then why or what happened that Thomas could get remarried before she died??? I believe that she (Sary/Sally Brown Lovorn) must have died before 1847. They lived in Winston Co. Ms. in the Fern Springs area. Thomas and Martha are buried in the Lovorn Cemetery in unmarked graves. Could Sary/ Sally be buried there also??? Anyone have any ideas???
