When I was in Woodville a few months ago, I spoke with Mr. Lewis, editor of the Woodville Republican. He said that he often received letters asking for data published in back issues of his newspaper but none of the papers are indexed and he does not have the time to search for the requested information. The older issues are on microfilm in Jackson, but not available at the newspaper. Several years ago I found the microfilms of the paper at the Woodville library but their reader was not working. I don't think they had all of the issues. There are two sets of books published on this Paper. "The Woodville Republican" by O'Levia Neil Wilson Wiese Vols 1 through 5 are available on CD through www.heritagebooks.com for a very reasonable price. "From the Files of the Republican" I can not remember the name of the author, or where these books are for sale, but I am sure someone on this list will know. I have a lot of obits I collected in the 1990s and some more recent. I will be sending edited obits with the name of the deceased in the subject line. I will include the birth and death dates and places and name of the parents but not the complete obit. There will be a lot of small messages but having a clear subject line will allow you to delete those that do not interest you. Virginia
