This is the Thomas Napoleon Ashley family. There has been a question as the surnames of the two sisters below. The added information was given me by Sidney Johnson, and I can not swear it is correct, but I did check the marriage records in Wilkinson county and find the marriages listed there. From Shirley Clark Ashley of Raymondville,Texas: Note: Mississippi State Board of health-Division of Vital Statistics, issued on the 12 day of July, 1943, shows the mother of Casey Clarence Ashley was Annice Bennett, not Jarrett. [It seems Jarrett was her stepfather.] She is the sister of Lilly Gertrude below and would be the d/o Sophrona J. Bennet. Sophrona J. Bennet was the sister of James Hilton Bennett who md. Mary Mae Ashley, sister of Hiram and William Ashley. Sidney Johnson, life long resident of Wilkinson county, said Lilly Gertrude Jarrotte was the daughter of James M. Jarrotte & Sophrona J. Bennet. Sophrona J. Bennet md. James W.
