    3. Thanks for this link. I found some very interesting infromation on the Mississippi River in the Fort Adams/Homochitto/Natchez area in this. I am beginning to get a better mental picture of the landmarks along the river. Old Kentucky maps held by the Kentucky Historical Society show the island, but current ones do not. I don't see anything about a lighthouse in the table of contents, but perhaps with a little help from other landmarks, one may find a reference to a lighthouse.
