If there was a connection to the Moss family, I am not aware of it. One of our Perry lines did go to Louisiana and on to Texas, but I am not familiar with a Captain Robert Perry. There were lots of Perry families around. The governor here in Texas is a Perry and I don't think he connects to my Perry line, either.
