Bruff on March 13,1845. But mainly I want to find out exactly who the Wm. McCrony is and let everyone know. <<Hubbard may have 1) been either Lucretia's stepfather or 2) a relative on the mother's side--or??? If you can find Lucretia's marriage bond (I believe some of them have been filmed by LDS, but more research is needed to determine what years), it may state whether anyone gave consent--that is if she were underage. >> I did look at the marriage bond for Lucretia McCrony at the Woodville Courthouse on a previous visit and made the following notes that day. "After viewing the actual marriage records in Woodville, Wilkinson Co., MS--I believe this name to be McCrony not McCearley/McCurley. No where on the marria ge license did it falter or mis-spell the name. David Hubbard was the person who posted bond on the marriage and he would have been George Shropshire's Aunt Eliza’s husband. This also seems reasonable. The date of marriage is correct, I triple checked it." ALSO, 1850 Census lists Lucretia as age 23 living in the household with George Shropshire which would make her birth year abt. 1827. She married George Shropshire Sept. 10, 1846 which would have made her abt. 19 years old. Hope this helps Brenda McCurley White
