I have a wee suggestion on the Paris person. It's only a guess, but "Paris" might be "Pares" found in both Wilkinson and the Felicianas. This is probably redundant but the pronunciation is "Peres/Perez. You know, in some circles, (heard in our local Library by other Ms researchers) it's said you simply can't be from Ms without a Netterville or a Shropshire in your tree somewhere. Excuse the bit of wimsy-if I have one, I'll rely on you two.

Checked the census again and the spelling there is PARIS but I think you are correct in it being PARES/PEREZ. Certainly PARES in the area and no PARIS that I have ever seem. Thanks for you help.
