    3. The accepted opinion is that the parents of Zachariah are Ambrose Joshua and Judith Ann Spann. If you search the web today there is an equal amount of entries that say Ambrose Joshua Smiths wife was Judith Anderson. I can find many things that point to Judith Spann including the fact that the Spanns showed up in the Natches District as Spains. I have yet to be convinced about Judith Anderson. However though Ambrose Joshuas list of children is long the only proven child of his is Christopher Kit Smith all of the others are there by association only. I am afraid that without some DNA testing on those lines we will never know for sure.
