Merry, as you know, I have researched the Perry line back into SC where I found George mentioned in a gift of deed from his father, Job Perry, and selling property with wife Nancy. I have read George Perry's will and studied the census and land records. I have checked the IGI for their son George Perry, Jrs, records. George joined the LDS church just a few years before his death. He gave the name of his parents as George Perry and Nancy Rogers. George also witnessed the permission for his sister Sarah to md. William Sturdivant. Never have I seen any document pertaining to him or Nancy in any name other than just plain George and Nancy. I have seen these other names but only on webpages put up by people who do not give a source or explanation of where they got the names. On one of these webpages they had the wrong parents for George Perry, Sr. Can't remember who now, but not Job. It is certain that the George Perry who came to Wilkinson co. was the son of Job Perry as he witnessed the permission slip for the marriage of sister Sarah Perry to William Sturdivant.
