In Wilkinson Co. on 25 March 1829, Jacob Chambers, John Connell, and Robert White posted a bond of $5,000 for Jacob Chambers to be the executor of the estate of Robert White, deceased. All of these names were found in the 1800 census of Kershaw Co, SC. Other names from 1800 Kershaw Co, SC, found in early Wilkinson Co, some of them associated with one another or with those named above, were: William Newell, Jacob Bethany, Joseph Wright, William Nettles, Edward Collins, John White, and Samuel Ross. It is apparent that families from 1800 Kershaw Co, SC, had associations in Wilkinson Co, MS, after moving there. There were connections by marriage between the Chambers and Wright families in MS.
