The following was taken from the Loose Probate Records Woodville, MS, Wilkinson Co. (not word for word) Received of Jas. M. Sessions, Commissioner in the case of J. E. Carter et al……..being the share of R.T. Carter in the proceeds of the sale of the lands of I.A. Carter deceased, father of the said R.T. Carter; the said R.T. Carter has died since the date of the said sale, and prior to the receipt by him of the proceeds of said sale, leaving us, his brothers and sisters of the whole blood, his sole and only heirs, the said R.T. Carter having died intestate, leaving no indebtedness due by him.
