    1. Re: [MSWILKIN] Shropshire Question
    2. thank you very much for replying back to my question!!!!!! Your answer is duplicate to with what I found out this evening. Between another very nice "List member" who gave me some very good leads and with what little I had--- this is how I have it now. BUT, please if I am wrong---Anybody--correct me!!!!! Elma Shropshire b. abt. 1893 was the daughter of Walter Shropshire b. abt. 1858 and Mary Rosa Elizabeth Cavin b. 1866. This was Walter's second marriage. His children were Elma & William Thomas. I found Elma Shropshire and William Thomas Shropshire on 1900 Wilkinson Co. Census to get birth dates. But after 1900 William Thomas just disappears. BUT, I JUST FOUND a Thomas Shropshire living in the household of C. B. King and Clarrisa Ann Victoria Day, age 20, labeled nephew. Maybe him, maybe not. Mary Rosa Elizabeth Cavin was the daughter of William Thomas Cavin Jr. b. 1841 d. Sept. 1914 AND Lucretia Ann "Lettie" MCCURLEY The above mentioned Walter Shropshire was the son of William Shropshire b. 1828 and Elvira Lethia King b. 1838. After Elvira's husband William Shropshire died she married my great, great grandfather Louis W. Arnold and had several more kids including my great grandmother Arra Rosalie Arnold who married Daniel R. McCurley. (Yes, I do remember thinking Alvira/Elvira Shropshire was a Shropshire by birth but not by marriage--I'm sorry for the mistake--but the Woodville Courthouse proved me very wrong). Thank you Jim for your update and replying back so quickly. If I can ever help you in your family search, please let me know--but remember I am a newcomer. After all, your name is Partin and my great grandmother was Nannie L. Partin married to Alexander Leake, so it's important to keep the connection going. Thanks so much for your help Brenda McCurley White
