Robbie, The first records I have found my family Jackson in is the 1870 census for Woodville, Wilkinson County. I have been told my great grandfather Beuargard Jackson was born in Natchez btw 1862 -1864 ... I have been unable to document this birth information. The 1870 census has his age listed as 6 yrs, the 1880 census have his age as 18yrs. I do have a copy of his marriage bond dated 12/21/1881 to Nannie Harris of Starkville. In the 1870 census living next door is a Susan Jackson age 77 birthplace SC, in all probability she is related and could be Beuargard's grandmother and my ggg-grandmother. Where in SC are your Jackson's from? Maybe buried in your family records are my Jackson family :) or the least I can do is search the area in SC for more information or brick walls.
