    2. Did I miss something? I did delete some messages from Wilkinson rootsweb because the subject line indicated the family was of little interest to me. In fact, it seemed that the website was being monopolized by an individual or two. I have unsubscribed to similar lists when two listers were having an argument. Oh, well, that's life, I guess. E.W.Wallace whose folks were in Wilkinson Co. ca 1815 or so but died off or moved to Copiah Co.

    3. maybe I missed something too as I have not seen anyone arguing on this list. As far as monopolizing the list, it is my understanding that to monopolize something you would have to prevent others from doing the same. I do not limit the amount of material that any one person is allowed to share. That would defeat the purpose of the list. I would like to note that the material Brenda is sharing is from loose probate papers, filed alphabetically. These records where sorted and filmed by the Genealogy Dept of Utah several years ago, but they are still not available through the FHCs. Most of these records have been recorded in various probate volumes but it is so much easier to search the individual files. We are lucky to have someone on this list who lives near enough to go to the courthouse on a regular basic, and is kind enough to share her finding with us. It is one thing to do research and keep it to yourself. It takes a special person to hand copy all those records, type them up and give them to people they have never met. Subscribing to this list is a privilege, and it is open to everyone who has an interest in this county. Anyone who does not like the way the list is being run has the privilege to unsubscribe.
